WHO WE ARE
Our Roots
The PNW Great War found its origin during the centennial of the Great War. Many of founders had lifelong connection to the Great War, for some it was family history, some had long ago spoken to veterans who survived the war, yet all shared a common interest in the human experience of the conflict during a period of revolutionary technological development and dramatic historical events. After the centennial parades had ended we decided to continue the work that we had started. The PNW Great War is now a 501c3 educational non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining our links to the past through living history and public outreach.

Our goal is to create a new understanding of this conflict, one that goes beyond textbooks and traditional narratives. At PNW Great War, we take pride in researching primary documents, ideas, and experiences to create an accurate portrayal of the past. Through living history and experimental archaeology, our members are able to put themselves in the shoes of those who lived through the events of the Great War, allowing them to learn, grow, and gain respect for those who came before us.

Our members are passionate about preserving this important period in history, and we participate in educational displays at military heritage events. Our goal is to provide an immersive and engaging experience that transports visitors to the front lines of the Great War.
