About us:
The 114e Régiment d'infanterie is the primary French impression unit in the PNW Great War. We portray all periods of the conflict from the summer of 1914 to the Armistice in late 1918.
While no military organization on earth was truly prepared for changing technological landscape of the First World War and would evolve over the course of the conflict, no army would see the same degree of change as would the French military. The French would see new uniforms, equipment, tactics and training for each year of the war.
Summer 1914-Spring 1915
When hostilities began in 1914 the French military was still equipped with the iconic brightly colored uniforms of the 19th century.
